To Believe… Thomas Do You Believe Who I Say I AM?

Good Morning Encouragement Block Family!!!! This morning inspirational reading is about Thomas and Jesus. Many, or should I say all of us resemble Thomas from time to time. No matter how spiritual we may be. No matter how we attempt to be the example that God has called us to become. We still run into those seasons when we might doubt. Become unsure, or even for a second come unraveled in our faith. It’s ok to be normal, to say that we are human.

Understand that Thomas was apart the twelve disciples that followed Jesus, seen all that Jesus has done and even witness to everyone else about the great news of Jesus Christ. Now doesn’t this Thomas sound like the person you see in the mirror? Be encouraged in knowing that there is a reason for every season you encounter and a purpose for everything you go through. Trust that Jesus is with you through everything you experience in life. Even when spiritually, your vision impaired… Believe.

JOHN20:29 (KJV) “Jesus said unto him,”Thomas, because tho hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed.”

Another version of this scripture says…

JOHN20:29 (AMP) “Jesus said to him,”Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believe [in Me].”

To Believe(MSG)

“19-20 Later on that day, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jews, had locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” Then he showed them his hands and side.

20-21 The disciples, seeing the Master with their own eyes, were exuberant. Jesus repeated his greeting: “Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, I send you.”

22-23 Then he took a deep breath and breathed into them. “Receive the Holy Spirit,” he said. “If you forgive someone’s sins, they’re gone for good. If you don’t forgive sins, what are you going to do with them?”

24-25 But Thomas, sometimes called the Twin, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples told him, “We saw the Master.”

But he said, “Unless I see the nail holes in his hands, put my finger in the nail holes, and stick my hand in his side, I won’t believe it.”

26 Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.”

27 Then he focused his attention on Thomas. “Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand and stick it in my side. Don’t be unbelieving. Believe.”

28 Thomas said, “My Master! My God!”

29 Jesus said, “So, you believe because you’ve seen with your own eyes. Even better blessings are in store for those who believe without seeing.”

30-31 Jesus provided far more God-revealing signs than are written down in this book. These are written down so you will believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and in the act of believing, have real and eternal life in the way he personally revealed it.”

When Was The Last Time You Pressed Your Big Red Button?!

I remember there use to be a commercial for Office Depot back in the day and everytime someone was in need of a quick fix for supplies some how they would always end up in Office Depot. There would always be a calm employee there to help out the panicking customer and the employee would ask what did the customer need help with. Soon as the customer was finished telling them what they needed the employee would never go running through the store like a chicken with their head cut off panicking just like the customer was. The employees always had a big red button that would fix, or supply everything that the customer was in need of. The funny thing about this now that I think about it! The supplies would sometime fall right out the sky sort a speak and fall on the customers depending in how light the supplies were.

Isn’t it funny that majority of our lives we are in search of this easy to fix it red button to apply to all our situations, or even circumstances when we experience something that is out of our control. We walk through life sometimes full of pride right until the minutes we have to deal with a part of life that we can’t easily fix by pressing a big red button. Ask yourself this question. With all that you have experienced and gone through in your life, if you had this big red fix it button wouldn’t you had pressed it?! For some people they probably would had to start giving a limit on how many times you could press it within a day. But are you glad that you made it? Are you glad that you made it through those tough times?

Understand we may not have a big red fix it all button to press whenever we are going through something. However, we are able to pray over our problems, situations, or even circumstances. Whether if your praying by yourself, with family, church family, friends, or those of the same faith over the problems you experience in life. I believe God will give the direction, guidance, and wisdom needed to handle that problem. You see, your prayer life is the action that presses the big red button, God is the part of the big red button that says Easy and when your prayers are answered that is the supplies that fall right out of the sky. He is the solution to every problem we experience. God is who will fix it because there is nothing to hard for him to handle and He will provide what is needed.

In the bible in Genesis 18:14  the Lord asked this one question to Sarah, “14. Is anything too hard for the Lord?”. In Jeremiah 32:27 a word came to Jeremiah from the Lord and the Lord asked again the same question, “27. Behold, I am the Lord came the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?” The answer to that, there is nothing too hard for God. In Philippians 4:19 The Apostle Paul said this, “19. But my God shall supply all your need(s) according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” This is a confirmation that God will provide.

So the next time you’re experiencing a situation that is making you feel like one of the customers from the Office Depot commercial, remember to press your own big red fix it all solutions button and watch closely on how God will fix that situation for you. God Bless & Be Blessed…Peace.

Family Date!!!

Good Morning Encouragement Block Family!!!! We hope that today you and your family are Blessed and highly Favored! Full of Joy that only Give can you! Wanted to share a word of encouragement today about one of the greatest fruits of the spirit which is “Love”.

On Wednesday my wife and I we’re on dates with our children. My son (7yrs old) took my wife on a date and paid for their meals. I took my two daughters (10yrs old & 5months) on a date as well in the same restraunt. This was a great experience! Just being able to sit down my son and tell him how to treat a woman(his mother), or a lady while being on a date. How to be a gentleman to your date. How to prepare yourself for the date(pick your clothes out, tie a tie, make sure your shoes are clean, putting on cologne properly, give complements to your date, ect…) because it is about the “preparation” aspect part that helps us men out a lot when it comes to dating. I even gave some tips to my daughter about dating. What clothes to wear, how a man(her father) should treat her, and how to conduct her self while on a date.

Now the experience, like I said was great and I’ll always remember this day forever. But the one thing was great to witness was the “Love” overall. Our first ministry that we should walk boldly in, out of “Love” should be “Family”. Ministering towards your family daily through Love is awesome and powerful. Yes, at times it can be tiring, time consuming, or even frustrating at times. However, it is amazing when you have a moment to thank God becuase you’re witnessing your children operate through acts of love. Watching them mature and show acts of appreciation. These are some of the things that makes us as parent proud to see. When I saw all of this happening on Wednesday 1Corinthians 13:1-13 came to my mind. Love is great! I hope that in the mist of your busy work week, or hectic schedule that you will able to make time for your family and just Love on them. Enjoy those moments because they are worth holding on to forever. God Bless & Be Blessed…Peace. #BeEncouraged #GodIsAwesome #IAmTheLightOfTheWorld #GodSizeDreamer #FaithWalk

1 Corinthians 13New International Version (NIV)

“ 13 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
